The head of the Polish department, Czeslaw Sekierski, conducted checks at the Medica border checkpoint. Earlier, he visited the Korchev checkpoint on the Ukrainian border.
“Excessive imports of agricultural products from Ukraine that do not meet EU production requirements threaten the competitiveness of Polish agriculture,” the ministry said in a statement.
Also, Poland’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Michal Kolodziejczak, inspected border checkpoints for the second day in a row. Today he visited the Jagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint, and yesterday he visited Grubieszow.
He mentionedwhich monitors inspections of agricultural products imported from Ukraine and published a photo of low-quality frozen raspberries deployed at the border.
“After such raspberries, there is only one conclusion: an embargo on frozen Ukrainian raspberries, of which more than 60 thousand tons arrived in Poland in 2023,” he said.
