Soldiers of the Mukachevo detachment found five men of mobilization age trying to swim across the Tisa using an inflatable boat.
According to border guards, for such a dangerous “journey” to Hungary, men had to pay 5-10 thousand dollars.
The men found the gentlemen who promised them “an easy and quick transition without rivers and water” on social networks. Upon arrival in Transcarpathia, the men, who had not known each other before, were gathered into one car and taken away in an unknown direction. Then they were provided with a rubber boat and told that they would have to swim across the river, the State Tax Service said in a statement.
Administrative protocols have been drawn up against violators. The circle of persons involved in organizing illegal border crossings is being established.
