On the eve of January 29, Ukrainian military personnel shot down an enemy Su-34 fighter-bomber in the sky over the Lugansk region. Speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrey Kovalev announced this during the telethon.
The statistics of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the total enemy combat losses for January 30 indicate that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, 332 enemy aircraft, 324 helicopters and 7 thousand 84 operational-tactical UAVs have been shot down.
As you know, the Su-34 is a multifunctional fighter-bomber designed to carry out missile and bomb strikes against ground targets. This tactical aircraft is capable of attacking targets at a distance of 150-600 km from impact.
Let us recall that on the night of January 4, 2024, a Su-34 tactical bomber burned out at the Russian Shagol airfield. The combat aircraft belonged to the aviation regiment of the 21st mixed air division of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Armed Forces. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine showed a video of the arson of a Russian fighter.
