Prince William’s wife has been released from hospital following stomach surgery, but experts say her road to recovery at home is just beginning.
The Princess of Wales has returned home from hospital after undergoing stomach surgery. This was announced by Kensington Palace.
“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor and will continue to recover from the operation,” royal officials said.
Kate Middleton and Prince William thanked the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the nurses who cared for the king during his treatment.
The Welsh family also thanked supporters from around the world who supported them during this difficult time.
Although palace insiders say Kate Middleton is keen to return to work “as soon as possible”, that won’t happen as she and Prince William are committed to “family first, work second”.
Advice from experts on recovery after abdominal surgery states that after surgery with a large incision it takes two to three months to move around comfortably.
But it will happen faster if the operation is through a keyhole. Patients who have undergone major abdominal operations are not recommended to lift more than the weight of a full kettle – about 2-3 kg.
It may also take two years for the strength of the abdominal wall to return to its previous level.
It was previously reported that British King Charles III has been discharged from hospital after prostate surgery.
Buckingham Palace has denied rumors about Kate Middleton’s cancer
