Ignat noted that the effectiveness of air defense depends on the directions in which Russia attacks Ukraine.
During the following night attack by the Russian invaders on the night of January 30, the air defense destroyed 15 of the 35 suicide bombers. The Russians used mostly drones against front-line territories. This is what the speaker of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuri Ignat, said in the telethon.
“For some, this may be strange. Because everyone is used to seeing sometimes a hundred percent collapse. Here we have to explain to people. There is an understanding of how the enemy uses technology. This is not a change in tactics or something like that,” said He.
According to Ignat, the Russians are attacking with different numbers of UAVs in different directions and from different directions. Today it is the Kursk region (Russia); Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia); Chauda (Crimea).
Most UAVs are directed against front-line territories located near the battle line or state border. In particular, the Russians tried to hit different targets: military, civilian, and the fuel and energy sector.
“Let’s not forget these Iskander strikes in the Poltava region, and now we have seen UAV strikes on facilities in the fuel and energy sector. This will always be the priority of the enemy. Not even deep in the country, but closer to the front line,” explained the representative of the Air Force.
We remind you that on the night of January 28-29, Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with eight kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. Air defense forces destroyed all enemy air targets.
