Peter Szijjártó will try to do everything so that the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia “regains its former rights.”
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó visited Ukraine. He announced this on Facebook on Monday, January 29.
“We are leaving for the Carpathians. We want to establish cooperation between Ukraine and Hungary, and we will do everything to restore the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia to its former rights,” he wrote.
Szijjarto later added that he was on his way to Uzhgorod.
“We are going to Uzhgorod, it will be a long day… We must do everything so that the Hungarian community of Transcarpathia can regain its former rights,” he said.
We remind you that on January 29 in Uzhgorod there will be a meeting between Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba and the head of the Office of the President Andriy Ermak with the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Peter Szijjártó. It will be preparatory to organizing a meeting between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
