The Slovak government refused to continue the policy of its predecessors, who actively supported Ukraine with arms supplies.
Russia’s war against Ukraine appears frozen, so it’s time to start peace talks. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Slovakia Robert Kaliniak said this on Sunday, January 28, on Slovak television, writes Trend.
In his opinion, the war in Ukraine has no military solution.
“No matter how the conflict ends, Ukraine will always have borders with Russia. It will not disappear anywhere. Peaceful efforts are what they need the most,” Kalinyak said.
According to him, the leaders of the European Union and the United States should be involved in the negotiation process.
The head of the government of Slovakia, Fico, made a number of scandalous statements. He said he opposes Ukraine’s entry into NATO “because it will be the foundation of the Third World War.” Also, the Prime Minister of Slovakia advised the Ukrainians to give the Russians part of their territories, as this seemed to be the only way to end the war.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin made a cynical statement that in 2014, the war in Ukraine seems to have been started by the United States, and not by Russia, which annexed Ukrainian Crimea and started a hybrid war in Donbass.
