The army of the Russian Federation continues to shell peaceful villages on the border of the Sumy region.

The enemy drove away artillery in the village of Stepok, presumably on Monday, January 22. Due to an enemy attack, the last resident of this settlement died; the rest of the people had previously evacuated from it. The body of a 60-year-old man was discovered on January 24. A Russian shell hit the room where the person was. The man’s death was confirmed by his son, local authorities and the SBU. “Public” reported this on January 28.
The Security Service of Ukraine began an investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As you know, the village of Stepok is located near the border with the Russian Federation near the Pokrovka-Kolotylovka humanitarian crossing.
Let us recall that the other day the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Naev, said that Russian sabotage groups have become more active in the border areas of the Sumy region.
And on January 27, it became known that the enemy DRG shot a brother and sister in the Sumy region. The tragedy occurred in the village of Andreevka, Khotyn society, which is located in a 5-kilometer zone from the border with the aggressor country.
