The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Diamond was attacked by the Houthis in the Red Sea. London said it denied the attack.
In the Red Sea, the Houthis attacked the British warship HMS Diamond, The Sun reports.
The destroyer was forced to defend itself with Sea Viper missiles as the militants continued their ongoing attack campaign. The UK Ministry of Defense said it had “successfully repelled” an attack by Houthi drones fired at HMS Diamond.
The warship used its Sea Viper missiles to destroy the rebel threat in the clash. The ship has had to deal with the Houthis as they continue their aggressive campaign in one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.
“Yesterday, HMS Diamond successfully repelled a drone attack launched by Iran-backed Houtists in the Red Sea. Deploying its Sea Viper missile system, Diamond destroyed the drone aimed at it without harming Diamond or the its crew,” the UK MoD said.
As you know, on the night of January 12, the United States and Britain launched strikes against the Houthis because of their attack on ships in the Red Sea.
Russia immediately responded by requesting an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. However, the next day, due to a mistake, the Houthis attacked a Russian oil tanker.
