This is the second launch of North Korean cruise missiles since the beginning of the year, and the military is analyzing the data.
North Korea on Sunday, January 28, launched several cruise missiles from its east coast, the South Korean publication Yonhap reported.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), the launch took place at 8 am in the ocean of Sinpo port. The review is currently underway.
“While strengthening our monitoring and surveillance, our military is in close contact with the United States to monitor for further signs of North Korean provocations,” the South Korean military said in a text message sent to reporters.
This is North Korea’s second cruise missile launch this year after it tested a strategic cruise missile called the Pulhwasal-3-31 towards the Yellow Sea.
Let’s recall that on January 15, the DPRK announced the test of a missile with a hypersonic warhead. Pyongyang also reported that on January 24 it conducted the first tests of a new type of strategic cruise missile.
