A pre-trial investigation has been launched into violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, on the morning of January 27, 2024, the invaders fired at a vehicle with civilians driving along the road between two villages of the Khotyn community, Sumy district. The 54-year-old man who was driving and his 68-year-old sister were killed, the report said.
Prosecutors, in collaboration with other law enforcement officers, are recording the consequences of the shelling.
