To ensure reliable border security and defense, the State Border Service of Ukraine continues to take active measures to increase border security.
Border guards are installing CCTV cameras on Ukraine’s northern border. Tracking systems have ground positioning and object recognition functions. This was announced on Friday, January 26, by the assistant to the head of the State Border Guard Service, press secretary Andrey Demchenko on Facebook.
He emphasized that the most dangerous areas have already been equipped with such remote monitoring systems.
“Cameras make it possible to view the area during the day and at night. If there is any threat, the units can consider it in advance and respond to changes in a timely and immediate manner,” said Demchenko.
It is noted that the video from the border is shown in the service control centers, where the border guards can control the cameras.
The Ukrainian government has allocated a record amount for the development of defense lines.
