Lists with entry bans are transferred to FSB branches in “administrations,” the Eastern Human Rights Group said.
Since October 16, 2023, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation has barred nearly 4,000 Ukrainian citizens from the occupied territories. The Eastern Human Rights Group reported this on Facebook on Friday, January 26.
“Filtering measures are taking place at Sheremetyevo Airport for citizens of Ukraine. The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is checking. Since October 16, 2023, the FSB has banned entry into the occupied territory for 3,796 citizens of Ukraine and local residents of the occupied territories,” the message said.
Lists of those granted entry bans are transferred to the FSB branches in the occupied territories and to the occupation “administrations”. Thus, the latter can conduct monitoring of property, the existence of a family, as well as targeted checks at the place of residence.
We previously wrote that Russia sent three additional maneuver groups to the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region to carry out filtering measures.
