Fighting continues in these territories. Their intensity is not the same as in other sectors of the front, but they pose a threat, as does the activity of the enemy’s DRG. The commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Naev, announced this on January 26 in Telegram.
The enemy has become more active lately. The activities of sabotage groups have become more frequent. We try, they don’t work, but there are attempts,” said the Ukrainian serviceman.
Northern border defenders confront hostile DRGs. Counter-sabotage groups are constantly training in the Northern Operational Zone to prepare the military to identify and neutralize an enemy attempting to cross the border.
Lieutenant General Naev showed on video how the exercises of counter-sabotage forces are taking place. The defenders practiced storming the trenches, which, according to legend, were allegedly captured by saboteurs.
Let us remind you that since the beginning of 2024, Russian invaders have tried to enter the border areas of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions five times. At the same time, the accumulation of enemy forces at the border is not currently recorded. Currently, anti-sabotage and anti-landing reserves are being trained in the Northern Operational Zone – the Ukrainian Armed Forces are working around the clock to improve their skills in order to stop hostile intentions.
