During reconnaissance in this sector of the front, operators of the 73rd Special Operations Forces Naval Center discovered enemy observation posts and personnel located there. First, a UAV with a thermal imager attacked the enemies, dropping ammunition. The command of the Special Operations Forces announced this on Facebook on January 25.
Then specialists took over the task of clearing the observation posts – the battle group had to get close to the Russians. Despite the shelling of enemy artillery, they took advantageous positions and destroyed the joint venture of the occupiers and eliminated five soldiers of the invading Russian army.
The MTR command emphasized that thanks to such actions by the defenders, other Ukrainian units will be able to control even more areas in this direction.
Let us recall that in January, soldiers of the Special Operations Forces using mortars eliminated a group of Russians in the Avdeevsky direction, who went on an assault along the same route every night. As a result of the fire, three occupiers were killed and two more were injured.
