Last year, 43 thousand Russian citizens were detained at the southern border of the United States. The Russian TG channel Baza reports this in connection with The Economist.
The data is provided for comparison – in 2021 there were only 4 thousand imprisoned citizens from the Russian Federation, today their number has increased almost 11 times.

But, as the publication notes, while Russians try to get to the United States mainly through the southern borders, Indians and Chinese often choose the route through Canada.
It was previously reported that in three days more than 1.6 thousand illegal immigrants landed in the Canaries.
