Smolin said that the Uzbeks, Kazakhs and Azerbaijanis allegedly did not exist, and after the revolution the Bolsheviks, under the leadership of Lenin, began to create nations.
On the air on Russian NTV, in the program Meeting place On January 22, the so-called “historian” Mikhail Smolin said that Lenin’s indiscriminate creation of national republics led to the collapse of the “unitary Russian empire” and further problems in the post-Soviet space.
According to Smolin, the Uzbeks, Kazakhs and Azerbaijanis seem to have never existed. He noted that after the revolution, the Bolsheviks, under the leadership of Lenin, began to redraw the maps, “select pieces” from the RSFSR and create countries.
Uzbekistan immediately reacted to Mikhail Smolin’s statements. The Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan, Odiljon Tajiev, urged to ignore the illiterate propagandists, and also recalled that Uzbeks regularly appear on the maps of foreign researchers since the 16th- 17th century.
Public figure and adviser to the Minister of Ecology Rasul Kusherbaev said that Russian channels broadcasting political programs should be stopped. According to him, Russian propagandists, commissioned by the Kremlin, are preparing society for the conquest of Central Asian countries.
Recall that Russian dictator Putin claimed that communist leader Vladimir Lenin and his comrades created Ukraine.
