Disney animations are famous all over the world and, due to their enormous success, it is common for fans to start questioning some scenes in the films that end up not making much sense. However, as everyone already knows, the studio almost never makes mistakes and has impressive answers to most of fans’ creative questions.
Check out the answers to 5 common questions about Disney animations!
1. If Elsa from ‘Frozen’ created her own ice castle, does that mean that all the furniture is also made of ice?
Not necessarily. Although she has the power to create countless things through ice, we must also remember that Elsa has already made a brand new dress for herself and that it was not made of ice, but of fabric like any other. Therefore, it is possible that her powers are much more varied than what we already know.
2. How come, in the entire kingdom, no other girl wore the same size as Cinderella?
Taking into account that the story takes place in the 19th century in a small village between the borders of France and Germany, it is very likely that Prince Charming’s kingdom is not that big. Furthermore, the search was carried out with girls of approximately 19 years old, Cinderella’s age, who were single and attended the ball, greatly reducing the number of suitors.
3. And why was the same shoe the only one that didn’t return to normal after midnight?
All the other objects used by Cinderella that day were transformed by the Fairy Godmother from existing things, such as the luxurious carriage that was made from a pumpkin. However, this was not what happened with the glass slipper. They were created by the Fairy’s own magic, as a gift to the girl. Therefore, if they are original, there would be no way to “return to normal”.
4. In ‘The Little Mermaid’, why didn’t Ariel simply write what she wanted to say to Eric after becoming human and losing her voice?
Ariel signs the contract created by Úrsula without even reading everything that is written in it. While the villain explains the agreement, she sings the phrase “No more talking, singing… The end!”. Therefore, we can conclude that this “end” may include writing, which should also be included on the paper, but which the princess ended up not seeing, as she signed with her eyes closed.
5. If Buzz Lightyear doesn’t believe he’s a toy, why does he stay still when humans get close?
The answer to this huge question is simpler than many imagine: why he wants to. According to Pixar’s chief creative officer, Pete Docterthere is no big reason for Buzz to have this attitude, he just does it.
