Data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 19 indicate that the number of Russian shelling on the front line increased by 27% compared to the previous day. Data for the period January 14-18 confirms this increase. However, against the background of the assaults, the losses of the army of the aggressor country increased. This is stated in a new report from the British Ministry of Defense on the social network X.
It is noted that over these five days the number of losses of military equipment from Russia increased by 88%. At the same time, tank losses in the Russian Armed Forces increased by 95%. During the same period, manpower losses increased by 15%.
British intelligence also noted that a key factor in the activity of the Russian occupiers is frosty weather, which allows armored vehicles to move across ordinary terrain.
Let us recall that in August, British intelligence reported that the aggressor country, Russia, had lost at least half of the airborne troops who were sent to fight against Ukraine in 2022. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, at least 15 thousand Russian paratroopers have been killed or wounded.
