The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, after information about the surveillance of journalists appeared, personally invited the head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk. The head of state said this in an interview with the British television channel Channel 4 News.
According to him, the fact of secret surveillance by the Bihus.Info investigative team should be thoroughly investigated and added that immediately after the incident he invited the head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
“Immediately a criminal case was opened. I myself invited the head of the SBU, and also received details from the Prosecutor General. Someone says that the media has a video recording, nothing happened. I believe what happened ,” assured the president.
In his opinion, “we need to find answers to all this,” so the Security Service will investigate the case and find the culprits.
As we have already written, the SBU reported that they are investigating the illegal wiretapping and video recording of Bihus.Info representatives.
In addition, President Vladimir Zelensky responded to the scandal. The head of state said that any pressure on journalists is unacceptable.
