Zelensky stated this in an interview with the British television channel Channel 4 News, the Ukrinform agency reports.
Donald Trump, I invite you to Ukraine, to Kyiv. If you can stop the war within 24 hours, then I think that will be enough to come. Any day,” Zelensky emphasized.
Zelensky does not rule out that Trump actually has some real idea and can share it.
We cannot have the secret of our people on the question of how to stop the war,” he noted.
Trump’s promise to stop the war “very quickly” came after he won the first presidential caucuses in Iowa in mid-January.
Trump then said he had a good relationship with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Putin and I get along great. This is good, not bad… The situation with Ukraine is so terrifying… And we plan to solve this very quickly. I know President Putin very well, I know Zelensky very well, I can talk to them, and we will solve this problem very quickly,” Trump said then.
