The US President spoke about the possibility of failure in the vote to approve the aid package.
The majority of Congress supports the coordination of military aid to Ukraine, but a negative voting result cannot be ruled out. US President Joe Biden said this while answering reporters’ questions about a meeting with members of Congress, Voice of America reports.
“I believe that the majority of members of Congress support aid to Ukraine. The question is whether a small minority will be able to block it, which would be a disaster,” said the American leader.
The US Senate may consider aid funding to Ukraine next week.
Let’s recall that in October 2023, Biden asked Congress to approve additional funding, including more than $60 billion for Ukraine. But it stalled in the Senate over partisan differences over border security with Mexico.
