The supply of this type of weapon will begin this month. This applies to AASM glide bombs. The increase in supplies of ammunition for the artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will increase to 3 thousand shells per month. French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu said this in an interview with France Inter radio, Le Figaro reports.
The minister added that in the period from February 2022 to the end of 2023, France supplied 2 thousand shells per month to Ukraine, and from January – 3 thousand shells per month.
Lecornu also denied that the invaders in Ukraine managed to seize the initiative at the front. He emphasized that Russia will not win the war against Ukraine, and the successes of the occupying army are limited to “two kilometers, chewed up here and taken back.” In addition, he agreed that the Ukrainian counteroffensive did not work the way the allies wanted.
Let us remind you that French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said that Paris will produce 78 Caesar self-propelled artillery units for Ukraine. France is already introducing a war economy regime in the country.
