On Wednesday, January 17, enemy aircraft dropped guided bombs on Kupyansk and the village of Maly Burluk, Kupyansky district. One of the bombs hit the village council building. Two children were injured. A 10-year-old boy’s leg was blown off, and a 13-year-old girl was chopped up by shrapnel. This was reported by the National Police.
And when examining the site of the hit, the police discovered the body of a woman. The identity of the deceased is being established.
In Kupyansk, private households were damaged as a result of Russian shelling, and a fire broke out in one of the houses. Specialists from the explosives service, criminologists and an investigative team are working at the scene of the incident.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Let us remind you that on August 17, in the Nikopol district of the Dnepropetrovsk region, a Russian drone attacked a car with two civilians. A 13-year-old child was seriously injured, and a 19-year-old boy was hospitalized in moderate condition.
