Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that 2024 should be the year when Ukraine throws Russia out of the sky.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukraine’s priority in 2024 is to remove Russian control over the skies. He said this during a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos, reports Ukrinform.
“In 2022, we liberated most of our territory, 50%, which was previously occupied by Russia. In 2023, we pushed the Russian Black Sea Fleet out of our territorial waters, and this allowed us to restore the “grain corridor ” that is separate from Russia. 2024 should be the year when Ukraine throws Russia into the sky. Because whoever controls the sky will decide when and how the war will end, “said Kuleba.
According to him, the aid should include the provision of F-16 fighters to Ukraine, which is already in the process of long-range missiles, drones and electronic warfare systems.
Let’s recall that on January 14, social networks and media reported that the Defense Forces destroyed the A-50 long-range radar detection and control aircraft and damaged the Il-22M aircraft, located in the Sea of Azov. .
Subsequently, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, confirmed the destruction of the A-50 and Il-22 aircraft.
ISW announced the reduction of Russian aviation operations in the Azov Sea area.
