The Bundeswehr is preparing for a hybrid Russian attack on NATO’s eastern flank.

A military conflict between Germany and the Russian Federation could occur as early as February 2024. Next month, Moscow announces another wave of mobilization and calls up another 200 thousand troops into the army. In the spring, the Russians begin an offensive on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and gradually push the Ukrainian army back by June. This was reported by the German publication Bild with reference to the secret Bundeswehr scenario “Defense of the Alliance 2025”.
And in July, first a hidden and then an increasingly open attack by the aggressor country on the West begins. The document points out that Russian hacking attacks and other forms of hybrid warfare are leading to new crises, mainly in the Baltic countries. In addition, Moscow is beginning to incite ethnic Russian minorities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. This leads to skirmishes, which Russia is using as a pretext to launch large-scale exercises called “West 2024” involving 50,000 soldiers in western Russia and Belarus from September 2024.
Also, the secret Bundeswehr dossier indicates that the aggressor country is using its alleged maneuver in Belarus for the massive deployment of troops on the border with Poland and Lithuania. This could lead to escalation.
This October, the Kremlin decides to move troops and medium-range missiles to Kaliningrad and further arms its exclave with propaganda lies about an imminent NATO attack. Experts believe that the Russians will want to seize the Suwalki Gap, a narrow Polish-Lithuanian corridor between Belarus and Kaliningrad.
The war scenario also provides that from December 2024, an artificially provoked “border conflict” and “unrest with numerous casualties” will begin in the Suwalki gap area. At a time when the United States could be left without a leader for several weeks after the possible re-election of Joe Biden, Russia is repeating the 2014 invasion of eastern Ukraine on NATO territory in the Bundeswehr exercise scenario.
It is expected that after this there will be an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, at which Russia will accuse the West of preparing attacks against the aggressor country. And in January 2025, at a special meeting of the NATO Council, Poland and the Baltic countries will announce the growing threat from Russia.
The document also notes that Russia will send additional troops to the Baltic countries and Belarus in March 2025. In Belarus alone, the Russians can station two armored divisions, a mechanized infantry division and a division headquarters – more than 70 thousand soldiers in total.
And in May 2025, according to the Bundeswehr scenario, NATO decides on “credible deterrence measures” to prevent a Russian attack on the Suwalki gap from Belarus and Kaliningrad. And on “Day X,” the NATO Secretary General orders the transfer of 300 thousand soldiers to the eastern flank, including 30 thousand soldiers of the German army.
Let us recall that in December 2023, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin threatened Finland that “there will now be problems” due to its accession to NATO. The war criminal threatened those who created the Leningrad Military District and transfer troops to the border with Finland. The dictator did not disclose the details of the “problems” for this country.
