A safe agreement with Britain will be a model for similar agreements in other countries, the head of state said.

Ukraine discusses security guarantees with Romania. For this purpose, the agreement with Great Britain was taken as a model. President Vladimir Zelensky said this in an evening video message on Sunday, January 14.

“Today there is a continuation of work on security guarantees for Ukraine – negotiations have started with Romania. This is the ninth state where such bilateral work is carried out. All G7 states including the Netherlands, including Romania,” the head of state says.

At the same time, Zelensky added that there will be more negotiations with other countries on security guarantees.

“We are taking as a model the agreement we concluded with Great Britain this week. I thank Britain again for its leadership and for the excellent, strong content of the agreement,” the president said.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine started negotiations with Romania on an agreement on security guarantees for our country.

On January 12, Ukraine and Great Britain signed a security agreement. According to Zelensky, Kyiv and London have reached the highest and most significant level of relations of all time.
