Authorities in Russia are turning off heating in prisons so that prisoners can go to fight in Ukraine.

In many regions of Russia in early January the temperature dropped to -35°C. Apparently, Vladimir Putin and his generals decided to use the cold weather to replenish the weakened troops in Ukraine. In many colonies, heating is turned off so that prisoners are more willing to go to war.

For this reason, they simply turned off their heating at sub-zero temperatures,” Olga Romanova, the founder of the Sitting Rus’ project, told Bild.

Thus, the conditions in prisons must become unbearable so that the men there go to Ukraine.

Russia has three population groups for whom the majority have no sympathy when they die at the front. These are prisoners [національні] minorities living in poor regions far from Moscow, and new citizens. While these three groups fight and die in Ukraine, Putin can create the illusion of normalcy for others. In general, the success of prisoner units is quite limited, which we can also see from current events at the front. Prisoners are simply sent en masse to the front line in Ukraine and sacrificed,” Romanova said.

According to Romanova, female prisoners are increasingly being recruited into Russian prisons. Currently, about 1 thousand Russian women are fighting in Ukraine.
