French President Emmanuel Macron approved the composition of the cabinet formed by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal on Thursday evening, January 12. This was reported by BFM TV.
The Secretary General of the Office of the President Alexis Kohler officially announced the new members of the French government.
Several top ministers of the former cabinet, led by the resigned Elizabeth Bourne, remained in their positions. In particular, the Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, the Minister of Defense Sébastien Lecornu and the Minister of Justice Eric Dupont-Moretti.
Secretary General of the Presidential Party appointed as Foreign Minister Renaissance and the husband of the current Prime Minister, Attal Stephane Sejournet, who succeeded Catherine Colonna.
Rachidi Dati, former minister of justice under the presidency of Nicolas Sarkozy, was appointed minister of culture to replace Rima Abdul-Malak.
