Eight separate auctions at Christie’s New York will feature approximately 900 lots.
British rock musician Elton John will auction around 900 lots valued at more than $10 million at Christie’s. Bloomberg reported this.
The lot will include everything from a pair of silver platform boots from the 1970s (est. $5,000 to $10,000) to a 1990 Bentley two-door convertible ($25,000 to $35,000).
Also included is an 18k gold, diamond and orange sapphire Rolex Daytona with leopard print dial and bracelet. Their cost is estimated from 40 to 60 thousand dollars.
John’s living room Yamaha piano, estimated at $30,000 – $50,000, will also be up for auction; as well as various items symbolizing the singer’s flamboyant style, including a pair of circa 1975 sunglasses estimated at $2,000 to $3,000.
It is noted that the main part of the auction is the 360 photos of various subjects from Elton John’s large collection, which focus on social issues.
All eight stages of the auction are scheduled from February 21 to 23.
