Since the beginning of their participation in hostilities, special forces soldiers have burned 12 Russian tanks, 25 armored vehicles, two Su-25 aircraft, 11 artillery systems and 12 electronic warfare systems using their own forces and resources. The press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
This special unit also worked in cooperation with various operational-tactical groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. GUR drone operators helped identify, adjust fire and destroy 33 self-propelled artillery units, 16 electronic warfare and electronic warfare systems, 24 anti-aircraft missile systems and two enemy command posts.
Military intelligence reported that the Kabul 9 unit was created at the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. It consists of veterans of the Ukrainian special services and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The name of the special forces is an abbreviation, the meaning of which is known only to its soldiers.
After participating in the battle for Kyiv in Gostomel and Brovary direction, special intelligence officers went to the south of Ukraine, where they still continue to destroy the enemy, the GUR noted.
