The United States will continue to impose sanctions against anyone who facilitates the illegal transfer of arms to the Russian aggressor.
The White House has evidence that the Russian military launched North Korean-made ballistic missiles into Ukraine last week. White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby said this on Tuesday, January 9, Ukrinform writes.
“The DPRK recently transferred launchers and several dozen ballistic missiles to Russia. Russia used these missiles against Ukraine last week,” he said.
Kirby pointed out that Russia fired North Korean ballistic missiles into Ukraine on December 30th. Later, on January 2, Russia used about ten missiles from the DPRK against Zaporozhye, Kyiv, Kharkov and other cities.
“Then, on January 6, Russian troops again launched several North Korean ballistic missiles into Ukraine. We are still analyzing the consequences of these attacks, but we can confirm that at least one of them hit Kharkov,” he said.
Kirby added that in this regard, the United States joined the joint statement of the heads of foreign affairs of 47 countries that condemned the export from the DPRK and the purchase of North Korean ballistic missiles by Russia, as well as their use against Ukraine.
In the past, the media wrote that the Russian Federation is buying ballistic missiles from the DPRK.
We remind you that the United States has received information that North Korea has transferred another shipment of weapons to Russia for the war against Ukraine.
