Hackers are sending malicious software under the guise of recruiting to the 3rd Brigade and the IDF.
Hackers send messages containing malicious software to military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The State Committee for Special Communications reported it on January 8.
It was noted that the government team for responding to computer emergencies in Ukraine, CERT-UA, which operates under the State Special Communications Service, has taken measures against a series of cyber attacks, if where attackers sent messages with malicious software to military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Signal messenger on the topic of recruiting for the third separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defense Army. Cybercriminals’ messages contain archived files, the contents of which, if executed, will lead to computer infection with REMCOSRAT and REVERSESSH malware. At the same time, the attackers try to make the names and contents of the archives interesting for the military – “interview with a prisoner,” “geolocation,” “encoding commands,” “call signs, “etc.
Reportedly, specialists from the American-Japanese company Trendmicro discovered the suspicious activity at the end of December 2023 and reported it to CERT-UA.
If suspicious activity is detected on computers and in the information and communication systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, specialists are requested to immediately notify the ITS CyberSecurity Center.

It was previously reported that hackers on behalf of Ukrainian officials sent viruses to Polish officials.
