The Ukrainian Air Force confirms information about the departure of nine Tu-95MS aircraft from the Russian Olenya airfield (Murmansk region). On Monday, January 8, they warned that the flight could be a combat mission, which means that a missile threat could be declared later.

“The departure of nine Tu-95MS aircraft from the Olenya airfield was recorded. The estimated time for the aircraft to reach the cruise missile launch line is 05.00-05.30. In the event of a missile threat and launch of missile, we will also inform,” the message said.

Monitoring channels added that in the event of a combat mission, the missiles could be in Ukrainian airspace from 6.00 to 7.00.
