An official of the State GeoCadastre in the Ivano-Frankivsk region illegally took land from state ownership near the Bukovel ski complex. The Office of the Prosecutor General announced this on Saturday, January 6.
“The suspect, without the authority to do so, signed and issued an illegal order. As a result, the land plots near the Bukovel ski complex were confiscated from the forest lands that continue to be used by the State Enterprise Nadvornyanskoye Forestry “Subsequently, these lands worth UAH 17 million were transferred to private ownership,” the statement said.
The official was accused of exceeding official powers (Part 3 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Previously, a scheme for the illegal appropriation of land from the dam of the Kyiv hydroelectric station was exposed. Their total area is more than 5 hectares, and their estimated value is more than 15 million UAH.
