In April, Russia and Ukraine agreed on a draft peace agreement of 75%, but then negotiations stopped. This was stated on Thursday, June 16, by the head of the Russian delegation in a conversation with Vladimir Medinsky.
“These negotiations ended on April 15 in the fact that we passed on the Ukrainian side the draft agreement agreed upon by the negotiating groups. It was agreed by 75 percent. Participating in the cessation of negotiations,” Medinsky said.

“It was interrupted after the leaders of the Pentagon and the U.S. State Department visited Ukraine at the end of April. As far as I understand, consultations were held, then a pause was taken in the negotiations,” Medinsky added.
He claims that Russia is open to negotiations with Ukraine, but Kyiv has not yet officially responded to the agreed draft peace agreement.
