Putin commented on the visit of European leaders to Kyiv

Moscow hopes Macron, Draghi and Scholz will encourage Zelensky to “really look at the state of affairs.”

The Kremlin hopes that the leaders of France, Italy and Germany, who came on a visit to Kyiv, “will encourage Zelensky to really look at the state of affairs.” This was announced on Thursday, June 16, by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, reports RosSMI.

He also expressed hope that it was not about providing arms to Ukraine.

“The Kremlin hopes that Macron, Draghi and Scholz in Kyiv will not focus on the bombing of weapons in Ukraine: it will prolong the suffering of the people,” Peskov said.

In addition, he suggested that the leaders of European countries are likely to discuss the topic of grain, because Russia, according to Putin’s press secretary, “is not yet clear about the essence of Ukraine’s position.”

As reported, today the leaders of France, Germany, Italy and Romania have arrived in Ukraine and have already visited Irpen. A meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently underway.
