On Friday, January 5, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov had a conversation with the head of the Norwegian Ministry of Defense Bjorn Arild Gramm. The parties discussed what was happening on the front line. Umerov wrote about this on the social network X.
Umerov also spoke about the recent massive combined air attack of the aggressor country Russia on Ukraine.
The Ukrainian minister thanked Norway for its contribution to strengthening Ukrainian air defense and the development of a coalition on maritime potential. He said that Ukraine and Norway will develop cooperation in the field of defense industry.
Let us recall that at the beginning of this year Norway allowed the sale of weapons and defense products from its defense industry to Ukraine. The permit means that Norwegian companies can apply to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and obtain a license to directly sell defense products to Ukraine.
And in December, the maritime coalition of Great Britain and Norway decided to transfer 20 Viking amphibians and 23 high-speed boats to Ukraine.
