This is the result of the work of the Joint Center for Coordinating the Search and Release of Prisoners of War, which implemented the decision of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the SBU said.
On January 3, the largest prisoner exchange took place during the war: 230 people returned to Ukraine.
Among the Ukrainians dismissed during the exchange were six civilians and 224 military personnel, including defenders of Mariupol, Zmeinoye and the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. 48 servicemen were previously considered missing.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, indicated that the UAE acted as a mediator between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
