The temperature inside the apartments dropped to 10-15 degrees Celsius in the historically cold temperature for the capital of the Russian Federation, Russian social networks wrote.
Three districts of Moscow were left without electricity and heating due to a fire at a substation. This was reported by the Baza and Mash Telegram channels.
A substation caught fire on a high-voltage passage in Moscow. Because of the incident, residents of more than 20 multi-storey buildings were without heat and light.
“Many fire crews are working at the scene. What caused the fire is still unknown,” Baza reported.
Mash notes that this transformer substation power, in particular, houses in Bibirov, Otradny and Medvedkovo.
“It is not known how long it will sit without light and little heating; utility workers are trying to eliminate the accident as soon as possible,” the channel said.
Mash added that the temperature inside the apartment dropped to 10-15 degrees Celsius over the previously cold temperature for the capital. In Moscow it was 24 degrees below zero.
As we have already written, in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region of the Russian Federation, they announced an “air attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” after which the light went out and the water supply was suspended.
