Thus, the politician responded to the massive attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine, which the enemy has been conducting since December 29.
“Russia started the new year by firing more than a hundred missiles and drones at Kyiv, Kharkov and other cities, targeting civilians and destroying residential areas and life-supporting infrastructure,” Borrell said.
He emphasized that Russia will be held accountable for its war crimes.
“We stand with Ukraine,” he added.
The UN human rights monitoring mission has recorded 90 civilian deaths in Ukraine, including two children, since the wave of Russian attacks began on December 29.
In just a few days, from December 29, Russia used almost 300 missiles and more than 200 suicide bombers against Ukraine.
