On the morning of January 2, Russian invaders invaded Ukraine using strategic flight. A series of explosions occurred in Kyiv and Kharkov. The attack resulted in deaths and injuries.
The UN human rights monitoring mission has recorded 90 civilian deaths in Ukraine, including two children, since the wave of Russian attacks began on December 29. The press service of the UN mission reported this on Tuesday, January 2, according to Radio Liberty.
In the latest attack, 421 civilians were injured in 12 regions of the country.
“This includes shelling and rocket attacks, which, according to preliminary data, caused the death of eight civilians in the Donetsk region, which is occupied by the Russian Federation,” the UN said.
The mission also mentioned the Russian strike on January 2, noting that they visited Kyiv’s Solomensky district and the nearby town of Vyshneve, where they spoke with residents whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged.
“In addition to the loss of life and life-changing injuries, residents described the pain of losing their homes and all their personal possessions,” the UN said.
The UN stressed that every case of civilian deaths will be verified by specialists.
In just a few days, from December 29, Russia used almost 300 missiles and more than 200 suicide bombers against Ukraine.
We remind you that Zelensky called on Ukrainians to pay attention to air raid signals in the coming days.
