Forbes journalists calculated how much the Russian Federation actually spent to carry out several waves of attacks on Ukraine.
Russia spent about $620 million on a mass missile attack on Tuesday, January 2. This was said by Forbes in relation to data from the command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and its own calculations.
According to preliminary data, the invaders used 99 air attack weapons against Ukraine: missiles of various types and attack UAVs. In particular, in the first wave, the enemy attacked with “martyrs” – all 35 Shahed-136/131 UAV attacks were destroyed.
In the morning, the enemy used strategic flight – Tu-95MS bombers. Sixteen aircraft launched at least 70 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles.
In addition, the launch of ten Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K fighters was recorded.
The enemy attacked from the sea with three Caliber cruise missiles, and from the north with 12 Iskander-M/S-300/S-400 missiles. The Su-35 tactical aircraft uses four Kh-31P anti-radar missiles.
Ukrainian defenders destroyed 10 out of 10 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, 59 out of 70 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles and three out of three Kalibr cruise missiles.
