Vladimir Putin “has no desire to fight forever,” but “he will not give up his positions.”
The enemy of Russia is not Ukraine, but the elites of Western countries. Such a cynical statement was made by the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, on Monday, January 1.
In his opinion, the Western elites “solved their own issues” with the help of the Ukrainians.
“This has happened for centuries, and continues today. Ukraine itself is not an enemy for us. But those who want to destroy the Russian state, those who want to achieve, as they say, the strategic defeat of Russia on the battlefield – and this, in fact, in the West there are so-called elites for whom the presence of Russia, at least in its current quality and size, as they think, is unacceptable,” said by Putin during a meeting with wounded Russian military personnel at the Vishnevsky hospital in Moscow.
He claimed that the Kremlin “has no desire to fight forever,” but “will not give up its positions either.”
According to Putin, “almost the strategic initiative is in our hands now.”
“Those who said yesterday that it was necessary to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia are now looking for statements on how to end the conflict as soon as possible. And we also want to end the conflict, and as soon as possible – on our terms,” concluded of the president in the RF.
Earlier on Tuesday, Vladimir Putin made a cynical statement that in 2014, the war in Ukraine was apparently started by the United States, and not Russia, which annexed Ukrainian Crimea and started a hybrid war in Donbass .
