The most common violation of human rights in the occupied territories this year is the violation of the right to property. This was reported today, December 31, on the website of the Center for National Resistance.
Russian occupation forces, together with representatives of local occupation administrations, as well as other members of illegal armed groups, systematically appropriate or destroy the property of local residents, the report says.
It is noted that the occupiers take advantage of the fact that Ukrainian citizens who were forced to leave the occupied territories cannot confirm ownership of real estate. “In this regard, the occupation authorities do not hesitate to help their “defenders of the fatherland,” combat veterans, especially those who took an active part during the large-scale invasion,” the CNS notes.
In addition, a number of real estate on the TOT is also used for military purposes, in particular for housing personnel and equipment of the Russian occupation forces, the CNS adds.
