The Russian Ministry of Defense said that during the shelling of Kharkov, “representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which took part in the planning and execution of the attack on Belgorod, were killed.” Ukrainian intelligence called these statements morbid nonsense.
The Russian Ministry of Defense accused in Telegram the Ukrainian Armed Forces of carrying out a strike with a multiple launch rocket system in the city of Belgorod, which killed civilians, including children. In response, Russian armed forces reportedly attacked decision-making centers and military installations in the city of Kharkov.
In particular, the Russians claim that “a missile strike on the former Kharkiv Palace hotel complex destroyed representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were directly involved in the planning and execution of the terrorist attack in Belgorod.”
“The high-precision missile strike on the building of the Ukrainian Security Service in the Kharkov region and the temporary deployment point of the nationalist formation Right Sector removed representatives of the SBU rolling stock, foreign mercenaries and militants of the Kraken unit, who were directly preparing . sabotage on Russian territory,” the RF Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrey Yusov, in a comment to Ukrainskaya Pravda, said that during yesterday’s Russian missile attack on Kharkov, not a single employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ministry of Defense, or a single fighter of the special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Kraken Ministry of Defense, was injured.
“At the same time, the aggressor once again hit civilian, and not military, targets. This is an ongoing practice of the Russian Federation and its terrorist missile attacks, specifically aimed at civilian infrastructure and civilians. All other statements are about the imaginary “impressions” of representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU – another painful fantasy of people living in the same reality and waging genocidal war against Ukraine, where they will certainly be punished,” Yusov said.
We remind you that on December 30, during the mass shelling of Kharkov, the Russians hit the Kharkiv Palace hotel building with S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. As a result of the enemy’s attack on the city center, 28 people were injured, including children and a foreigner.
As a result of the shelling, a hotel, apartment building, kindergarten, administrative buildings, shops, restaurants, shopping pavilions and cars were damaged.
On December 30, explosions were heard in the Russian city of Belgorod, and debris fell in the city center after the work of the Russian air defense. As a result of the unsuccessful Russian air defense operation, more than 20 people died.
