Police in the Kyiv region detained a 15-year-old teenager who detonated a grenade at the entrance of a residential building in the city of Obukhov. The National Police reported this on Saturday, December 30.

It is indicated that the explosion occurred yesterday at about 23:00 in one of the apartment buildings in Obukhov.

“Arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers established that a 15-year-old offender, during a conflict between acquaintances at the entrance of a residential building, took an explosive from his pocket and threw it away. After that the minor disappeared,” the report said.

A special operation began on the territory of Obukhovsky district. Soon, the police found the attacker.

Explosive technicians worked at the scene and recovered the remains of the grenade body.

A pre-trial investigation is launched into hooliganism using an object specially adapted or prepared in advance to cause bodily harm (Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The teenager was imprisoned. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is decided.

Earlier, a grenade exploded in a house in Kyiv’s Dnieper district, killing two people. And in the Kyiv region, a 51-year-old man threatened to detonate a grenade in a house. But he was persuaded to voluntarily hand over the bullets to the specialists.
