In Ukraine over the past 24 hours, around 120 cities and villages – hundreds of civilian objects – have been damaged by Russian strikes.
The number of victims in Ukraine as a result of yesterday’s mass attack by the enemy has increased to 39. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Telegram on Saturday, December 30.
“In total, 159 people were injured due to this terrorist attack. Among them, so far, unfortunately, 39 are dead. My condolences to the family and friends. All the wounded and injured have been given of the necessary assistance,” the head of state said.
According to Zelensky, work is still ongoing in Ukraine to eliminate the consequences of yesterday’s Russian attack. About 120 towns and villages – hundreds of civilian objects – were destroyed.
The president also thanked world leaders, politicians and public figures who condemned the Russian attack.
“Weapons in the hands of Ukrainians have always been a defense of life, and every show of fear in Russia proves again and again that we cannot hesitate to help fight terrorism. We must all defeat terrorism with together,” the Ukrainian leader added.
Let’s remember that on December 29, Russia carried out one of the most intense and massive attacks on Ukraine. The enemy launched more than 150 missiles and drones at residential areas, critical infrastructure, industrial and military facilities across Ukraine.
Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Lvov, Odessa, Dnepr, Zaporozhye, Sumy, Lviv, and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
In Kyiv, at 12:40 Saturday, 16 casualties were identified as a result of a Russian strike on a warehouse in the Shevchenko district.
