Armored tires for combat pickup trucks are being tested in Ukraine. The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, announced this on December 30.
“RunFlat are special inserts on car tires that allow the car to drive even with broken or damaged tires. This is especially important during the evacuation of the wounded, carrying out a combat mission or delivering provision to the Defense Forces. The military does not need to stop and put themselves in danger – they will be able to continue moving to a safe place, “said Fedorov.
He added that the inserts will not be inferior to the models of the world and are made of materials that are not subject to early destruction. The developers are planning mass production and expansion of the model range to large armored vehicles.
