In particular, in the area of responsibility of the OSUS “Khortitsa” in the Kupyansky direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks near Sinkovka, Kharkov region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops. And in the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks by the occupiers in the Bogdanovka and Andreevka areas of the Donetsk region. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for December 30.
The enemy does not stop trying to cordon off Avdiivka, but the Ukrainian military is holding the line. Yesterday, eight enemy attacks were repulsed in the areas of Stepnoy and Avdeevka and 21 attacks near Severny, Pervomaisky and Nevelsky in the Donetsk region.
And in the Marinka and Novomikhailovka areas of the Donetsk region, soldiers of the Armed Forces repelled nine attacks. In the Zaporozhye direction, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks to the west and north-west of Verbovoy, Zaporozhye region.
The General Staff noted that in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian fighters are expanding the bridgehead, but the enemy is trying to knock them out of their positions. Here the enemy carried out more than 10 unsuccessful assaults on Friday.
Air Force aviation carried out strikes on 10 areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated and on three enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. And the missile forces hit two areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, three artillery assets, five ammunition depots and two other important enemy targets.
Let us recall that the General Staff reported the day before that the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a Russian attack west of the village of Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye region and seven attacks near the village of Sinkovka in the Kharkov region, and did not yield a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
